You are cordially invited!
Each year since its founding in 1984, the Scholarship Foundation of Northshore has hosted a Scholarship event to honor the recipients and the many sponsoring Partners whose generosity has made these scholarships possible. Over the years the number of awarded scholarships has grown, as have the number of Northshore high schools.
This year, the Scholarship Foundation will grant 99 new and renewal scholarships totaling $421,750. Since inception we have given 2,270 Northshore School District recipients a total of $4.3 million in tuition payments over the past 38 years.
Many of you have been at the heart of this giving. This year we will once again host a virtual gathering to celebrate the 2022 scholarship recipients. See details below for our virtual Annual Scholarship Celebration recognizing all our winners:

Our sincere appreciation to everyone for your ongoing generosity of time and scholarship dollars. We can’t wait for you to hear directly from our students and see how your support will positively impact our Northshore students in continuing their education. Your gift will be felt for years to come.
Scholarship applicants are asked what “service to others” means to them. In this newsletter series we report excerpts of their responses.

Featured Scholarship of the Week
Sutherland Memorial S.T.E.M. Scholarship
In the hopes of stimulating more educational interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math and a concern for a dearth of students being attracted to STEM education, long-time Bothell resident and former Northshore School Board member the late Jack Sutherland made a $60,000 contribution from which a $3,500 scholarship would be awarded annually to a graduate pursuing studies in either science, technology, engineering or math.
The 2022 graduate recipient is Kaia Gelatt of Inglemoor High School who plans to attend Scripps College to major in biology on a pre-med track.
